My daughter is now a teenager and starting to feel like she knows-it-all. She’s also starting to sneak around with her friends and it’s obvious to me she’s doing something that I would not approve of. Of course, I too was like this at her age and I remember my mother telling me, “just you wait until you have a daughter …” — she was right. Anyway, I found this site called EternityMessage.com and they let you write messages/advice/whatever to your loved ones, but those messages will only be delivered years into the future which you specify. I have already written a couple of notes to my daughter related to how she’s been acting at age 13, and how it was hard for me to cope, but that we got through it. I think it will be fun and educational for her to see details that I can remember now and will surely forget in my later years. As a side, as I wrote some of this, it acted as a “reflection” period for me and I found it good to get it down in writing.
